2021.12.04 08:17 cryptokoy Turkey, lira and inflation.

Turkey, lira and inflation.
TLDR: Finanical meltdown might be inbound and Turkey might be the catalyst.

First of all, I do not understand why many apes in this sub are almost "hoping" for another crash to margin call the SHFs. People lose their jobs, their homes and their lives. Additionally, I do not see Evergrande failing. The chinese government cannot afford to let Evergrande fail.
This is just my opinion. Now, I would like to present to you an article about another possible catalyst for the next big financial meltdown. Prof. Dr. Christian Kreiß assumes that the lira crisis could trigger a global financial and economic crisis.
His assumptions are based on two problematic financial trends.
Asset bubble Loose monetary policies of the global central banks have caused inflated valuations of assets. Stocks are expensive, real estate prices only go up and global debts are at a record level (accelerated by the effects of the pandemic).
Turkish lira is collapsing Lira is the official currency of Turkey and its inflation rate is now at 21.31 percent (November 2021)

Instead of taking measures to counter this development the Turkish president blames high interest rates. The Turkish economy is suffering and economies all over the world are getting squeezed by price pressures due tu supply-chain bottlenecks and shortages of raw materials. So, Lira is the last thing you want to own right now. Especially, when you are a Turkish debtor, who has to pay back a dollar loan. It might just be a matter of time until you lack the liquidity to pay your foreign currency obligations.
These foreign currency debts amount to $ 570 billion (Source: Institute of International Finance). This is about 80 percent of their GDP.

A threat to global financial markets
Basically, Prof. Dr. Christian Kreiß fears a global chain reaction caused by an ongoing lira crisis and the possible default of Turkish debtors on their foreign currency obligations. This may then trigger other investors to withdraw their investments from other emerging markets and high-yield bonds in industrialized countries. He comes to the conclusion that the crash potential (stock markets, bond markets, real estate markets) is significantly higher than in 2008.

Nevertheless, this is all just a vague theory. The Turkish lira is still on a declining path and the current decisions do not signal any hope. Whether or not the above mentioned scenario is likely to happen or not, the current situation imposes a certain risk.
Whatever might trigger the next financial crisis and the following margin call on SHFs do not forget the most important fact: Innocent, hard-working people will suffer under the consequences.

2021.12.04 08:17 RecruitingMSP Bounce Back Email Spam - With DMARC in Reject Mode??

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on what I can do in this situation, or even explain why its happening when I would expect DMARC to have blocked this. Got me stumped
Spammer has started sending spam to thousands of addresses. He has used the following in those emails;
Return-Path in the emails is []( This is/was a distribution list (allowed for external senders to send to it). I say is/was, as I have now set up a shared mailbox for the []( address to stop spam reaching end users.
Reply-To address is [](
Domain A is correctly set for DMARC in reject mode. Good emails pass DMARC checks. is actually which has DMARC in Q mode.

For the spammer this is good, any one foolish enough to reply, replies to his mailbox at DomainB.
Not so good for us, I have confirmed the original sent spam emails are failing SPF checks, hence we are getting thousands of bounce back being returned to []( - and doesn't look to be stopping.
Unless I am mistaken their is no breach here.
I would have expected that as the Return-Path is []( (with DMARC in Reject) and as SPF is failing the emails sent from the spammer should just be hard deleted by any mail server that sees them. I'm confused why that is not happening, maybe I have the wrong end of the stick, and the spam emails are being checked vs, thus avoiding Reject mode...
Leaves me no idea how to stop it. No breach, so don't think anything to re-secure, Domain email system, is with 365, Barracuda Essentials, SPF, DKIM and DMARC all configured, and MFA on all accounts. There are a couple of send connectors into 365 used for Multi Function scanners to send email, but don't think that's related.
Any thoughts appreciated.
